Who’s behind the scenes?
My name is Sophia Fatmala and I am just another home jungle fanatic like yourself.
My house becomes greener and greener as I wander around nurseries and greenhouses every time I have the chance.
Originally from Portugal, I currently live in The Netherlands, with my husband, 80+ houseplants, and two very loved and very naughty cats.
Why has this website come to live?
When we moved to The Netherlands – which seems to be the European capital of plants – I started putting together our own collection, one plant at a time.
As our indoor jungle voyage began, I was focused on learning everything I possibly could about every single houseplant I acquired.
Very quickly my newly found interest for houseplants turned into a family passion and led us to follow a few other plant hobbyists out there, as well as reading several plant-related books.
With our own journal, and by sharing the development of the plants in our home, we aim to inspire other young adults… You too can bring your life closer to nature, while continuing your active city life!
And by doing so, we promise that you will start to enjoy extraordinary moments of peace and quiet in the comfort of your own home, after a busy working day.
